September Already!!

Six Skeins at Once! The big news is our introduction of the Multi-Skeiner, Ball and Skein's newest in our Skein Winder line up. The Electric Multi-Skeiner will wind up to six skeins at once from coned yarn. Included with the Multi-Skeiner is a stand to hold six cones. The skeiner arms are adjustable up to more than two meters (approx. 80") and like our other skeinwinders has a rotation counter and adjustable manual crank handle.

Our Electric Skein Winder will now wind up to three skeins at once! This is a real time saver.

They're Here! Ken Ledbetter continues to send me his wonderful spindles. The first order sold out in two days. We are on to our fourth. Every shipment a pleasure to unpack! Each of Ken's spindles is a unique work of art. They spin beautifully and a long time. I'm crazy about them. Look for them in our new catagory, "Spindles".

For fall and holiday knitting is Punch and Judy, Anne Hanson's new scarf pattern teamed up with our new yarn, Sirena, a wonderfully soft 4 ply merino silk (that translates into wonderful stitch definition). Sold as a kit, orders will be shipped beginning the first week of October.

Our Electric Skein Winder has fully adjustable arms make up to 2 yd skeins, is hand operable, and has a counter and built in tool box. The manually operated Crank Winder, also with fully adjustable arms to make up to 2 yd skeins, comes with a rotary counter mounted near the base for easy viewing and an adjustable hand crank. Our table top Heavy Duty Swift holds skeins up to 75" on the fully adjustable 10" yarn pegs. Smooth spinning and stable, it has double bearings and a 12" square base.
 
The Spindler's Kate A plying box to use with or without your own spindles
 
Use the Spindler's Kate with the provided Spindle Sleeves and any spindle. Slide the sleeve off the spindle and onto the plying rod, keeping your spindle free to continue spinning. Ply directly from the sleeves, or insert two of your spindles into the Spindler’s Kate and ply directly from them.
